RACER projects begin with a focus on reptile and amphibian ecology and conservation and emphasize undergraduate training in field & laboratory methods, collaborative research, science communication, and community engagement.
Our RACER group continues to grow, developing new research directions and monitoring initiatives. Projects include:

- Terrestrial salamander population monitoring (SPARCnet site)
- Vernal-pool breeding amphibian and plant phenology
- Differential locomotor performance of salamander color morphs
- Acoustic ecology of pond-breeding amphibians
